In a brief conversation, a man asked a woman he was pursuing the question......

"What kind of man are you looking for?"

She sat quietly for a moment before looking him in the eye and asking.

"Do you really want to know?"

Reluctantly, he said, "Yes."

The man looked at her. Clearly he thought that she was referring to money.

She said, "I am looking for someone who is striving for perfection mentally
because I need conversation and mental stimulation. I don't need a simple-minded
man." I am looking for someone who is striving for perfection spiritually
because I don't need to be une q ually yoked... believers mixed with unbelievers
is a recipe for disaster. I need a man who is striving for perfection
financially because I don't need a financial burden. I am looking for someone
who is sensitive enough to understand what I go through as a woman, but strong
enough to keep me grounded. I am looking for someone who I can respect. In order
to be submissive, I must respect him. I cannot be submissive to a man who isn't
taking care of his business. I have no problem being submissive...he just has to
be worthy. God made woman to be a helpmate for man. I can't help a man if he
can't help himself. When she finished her spill, she looked at him. He sat there
with a puzzled look on his face.

He said, "You're asking a lot."

She replied, "I'm worth a lot."

Suzuki Cervo : Maruti's answer to Tata Nano...

The battle for the small car is getting hotter. Soon after the Tatas stunned the world with a Rs 1 lakh car, Nano, Hyundai stated its intention to come out with a car that could cost less than Rs 2 lakh and hit the road by 2011.
And now, auto biggie Maruti-Suzuki too is ready with Its small car. The little car could hit the road, they say, as early as the end of this year or early 2009.
The Suzuki car will come closest to rival Nano. It will sport a Suzuki 660cc engine - as against Nano's 623cc - and wear a tag of around Rs 1.5 lakh on road (that is, excluding insurance) - a little higher than Nano, which is expected to be Rs 1.25 lakh on road. The car might be called 'Suzuki Cervo'.

Is India a Poor country??

Revelation of Swiss bank accounts

This is so shocking.......If black money deposits was an Olympics event.... India would have won a gold medal hands down. The second best Russia has 4 times lesser deposit. U.S. is not even there in the counting in top five! India has more money in Swiss banks than all the other countries combined!

Recently, due to international pressure, the Swiss government agreed to disclose the names of the account holders only if the respective governments formally asked for it. Indian government is not asking for the details.......no marks for guessing why?

We need to start a movement to pressurise the government to do so! This is perhaps the only way, and a golden opportunity, to expose the high and mighty and weed out corruption!

Is India poor, who says? Ask the Swiss banks. With personal account deposit bank of $1,500 billion in foreign reserve which have been misappropriated, an amount 13 times larger than the country's foreign debt, one needs to rethink if India is a poor country?

DISHONEST INDUSTRIALISTS, scandalous politicians and corrupt IAS, IRS, IPS officers have deposited in foreign banks in their illegal personal accounts a sum of about $1500 billion, which have been misappropriated by them. This amount is about 13 times larger than the country's foreign debt. With this amount 45 crore poor people can get Rs 1,00,000 each. This huge amount has been appropriated from the people of India by exploiting and betraying them. Once this huge amount of black money and property comes back to India , the entire foreign debt can be repaid in 24 hours. After paying the entire foreign debt, we will have surplus amount, almost 12 times larger than the foreign debt. If this surplus amount is invested in earning interest, the amount of interest will be more than the annual budget of the Central government. So even if all the taxes are abolished, then also the Central government will be able to maintain the country very comfortably.

Some 80,000 people travel to Switzerland every year, of whom 25,000 travel very frequently. 'Obviously, these people won't be tourists. They must be travelling there for some other reason,' believes an official involved in tracking illegal money. And, clearly, he isn't referring to the commerce ministry bureaucrats who've been flitting in and out of Geneva ever since the World Trade Organisation (WTO) negotiations went into a tailspin!



Just read the following details and note how these dishonest industrialists, scandalous politicians, corrupt officers, cricketers, film actors, illegal sex trade and protected wildlife operators, to name just a few, sucked this country's wealth and prosperity. This may be the picture of deposits in Swiss banks only. What about other international banks?

Can we bring back our money? It is one of the biggest loots witnessed by mankind -- the loot of the Aam Aadmi (common man) since 1947, by his brethren occupying public office. It has been orchestrated by politicians, bureaucrats and some businessmen.

The list is almost all-encompassing. No wonder, everyone in India loots with impunity and without any fear. What is even more depressing in that this ill-gotten wealth of ours has been stashed away abroad into secret bank accounts located in some of the world's best known tax havens. And to that extent the Indian economy has been stripped of its wealth. Ordinary Indians may not be exactly aware of how such secret accounts operate and what are the rules and regulations that go on to govern such tax havens. However, one may well be aware of 'Swiss bank accounts,' the shorthand for murky dealings, secrecy and of course pilferage from developing countries into rich developed ones.

In fact, some finance experts and economists believe tax havens to be a conspiracy of the western world against the poor countries. By allowing the proliferation of tax havens in the twentieth century, the western world explicitly encourages the movement of scarce capital from the developing countries to the rich. In March 2005, the Tax Justice Network (TJN) published a research finding demonstrating that $11.5 trillion of personal wealth was held offshore by rich individuals across the globe.

The findings estimated that a large proportion of this wealth was managed from some 70 tax havens. Further, augmenting these studies of TJN, Raymond Baker -- in his widely celebrated book titled 'Capitalism's Achilles Heel: Dirty Money and How to Renew the Free Market System' -- estimates that at least $5 trillion have been shifted out of poorer countries to the West since the mid-1970.

It is further estimated by experts that one per cent of the world's population holds more than 57 per cent of total global wealth, routing it invariably through these tax havens. How much of this is from India is anybody's guess.

What is to be noted here is that most of the wealth of Indians parked in these tax havens is illegitimate money acquired through corrupt means. Naturally, the secrecy associated with the bank accounts in such places is central to the issue, not their low tax rates as the term 'tax havens' suggests. Remember Bofors and how India could not trace the ultimate beneficiary of those transactions because of the secrecy associated with these bank accounts?

IS THERE ANYONE WHO CAN SAVE INDIA?

Yes, we the INDIANS and we will. Let us pledge for it.

As said earlier also "UNITED WE WILL MOVE INDIA". The name "SONE KI CHIRIYA" will be back again.

Hence, the need of the hour is UNITY OF INDIANS ON SINGLE PLATFORM. Do the needful.

IMF predicts 'very difficult' 2009....

Madrid: International Monetary Fund (IMF) managing director Dominique Strauss-Kahn said Monday that the global economy will continue "deteriorating", predicting a "very difficult" year 2009.

The forecasts that the IMF will make public in January will be even worse than the current ones, which predict a 2.2 percent global growth next year, Strauss-Kahn said in Madrid, where he was attending a conference.

Strauss-Kahn called for a stronger response to the crisis. He described the current international reaction as "small, poorly inspired in its design" and insufficient in its application, recommending that the G-20 group institutionalize its meetings.

It was not enough to technically reform the financial system, but to "show the man on the street that the market economy has an ethical face," Strauss-Kahn said.

If that is not done, social unrest could follow, he warned.

Is there such a thing as 'Hindu terrorism', as the arrest of Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur for the recent Malegaon blasts may tend to prove? Well, I guess I was asked to write this column because I am one of that rare breed of foreign correspondents? a lover of Hindus! A born Frenchman, Catholic-educated and non-Hindu, I do hope I'll be given some credit for my opinions, which are not the product of my parents' ideas, my education or my atavism, but garnered from 25 years of reporting in South Asia (for Le Journal de Geneve and Le Figaro).

In the early 1980s, when I started freelancing in south India , doing photo features on kalaripayattu, the Ayyappa festival, or the Ayyanars, I slowly realised that the genius of this country lies in its Hindu ethos, in the true spirituality behind Hinduism. The average Hindu you meet in a million villages possesses this simple, innate spirituality and accepts your diversity, whether you are Christian or Muslim, Jain or Arab, French or Chinese. It is this Hinduness that makes the Indian Christian different from, say, a French Christian, or the Indian Muslim unlike a Saudi Muslim. I also learnt that Hindus not only believed that the divine could manifest itself at different times, under different names, using different scriptures (not to mention the wonderful avatar concept, the perfect answer to 21st century religious strife) but that they had also given refuge to persecuted minorities from across the world?Syrian Christians, Parsis, Jews, Armenians, and today, Tibetans. In 3,500 years of existence, Hindus have never militarily invaded another country, never tried to impose their religion on others by force or induced conversions.

You cannot find anybody less fundamentalist than a Hindu in the world and it saddens me when I see the Indian and western press equating terrorist groups like SIMI, which blow up innocent civilians, with ordinary, angry Hindus who burn churches without killing anybody. We know also that most of these communal incidents often involve persons from the same groups?often Dalits and tribals?some of who have converted to Christianity and others not.

However reprehensible the destruction of Babri Masjid, no Muslim was killed in the process; compare this to the 'vengeance' bombings of 1993 in Bombay , which wiped out hundreds of innocents, mostly Hindus. Yet the Babri Masjid destruction is often described by journalists as the more horrible act of the two. I am a typical mouse from Mumbai. In the local train compartment which has capacity of 100 persons, I travel with 500 more mouse. Mouse at least squeak but we don't even do that.

Today I heard your speech. In which you said 'NO BODY WOULD BE SPARED'. I would like to remind you that fourteen years has passed since serial bomb blast in Mumbai took place. Dawood was the main conspirator. Till today he is not caught. All our bolywood actors, our builders, our Gutka king meets him but your Government can not catch him. Reason is simple; all your ministers are hand in glove with him. If any attempt is made to catch him everybody will be exposed. Your statement 'NOBODY WOULD BE SPARED' is nothing but a cruel joke on this unfortunate people of India.

Enough is enough. As such after seeing terrorist attack carried out by about a dozen young boys I realize that if same thing continues days are not away when terrorist will attack by air, destroy our nuclear reactor and there will be one more Hiroshima.

Next time terrorist can comfortably live in those house , enjoy the beauty of sea and then attack the Mumbai at their will.

Recently I had to purchase house in Mumbai. I met about two dozen builders. Everybody wanted about 30% in black. A common person like me knows this and with all your intelligent agency & CBI you and your finance minister are not aware of it.. Where all the black money goes? To the underworld isn't it? Our politicians take help of these goondas to vacate people by force. I myself was victim of it. If you have time please come to me, I will tell you everything.

A middle aged woman had a heart attack and was taken to the hospital.

Unfair on the part of MARATHI manoos!...

It's really a sad week for all of us!...During this grievance, what we least expect from the so called responsible TV media is some sensible telecast of these appalling events. They should refrain themselves from some irrelevant stuffs as well.

On the contrary, on 28th November 2009, on NDTV 24X7, Mr. Pranoy ROY, a renowned personality in the TV media, missed no chance to spread venom against the Maharashtrians!...

Smses asking where Raj Thakaray and his MNS 'goondas' have been hidden and Mumbai was rescued by the north n south indian NSG persons (not by MARATHI maanoos)etc. had been splashed.

I am not a Raj THAKARAY fan, nor SUPPORT his violent tactics. But I do admire the Marathi cause upheld by him. You can call me 'biased' in this case. And what these people (WHO questioned marathi maanoos!) expect from the political parties (read: shivsena, mns, congress, bjp, everyone!!) in this grave situation. It was the duty of the security force, correct?...And we do admire them for their courage!

But you may not disagree that these political workers might have contributed by donating blood for sure. And they haven't used this opportunity for their poor political gains. They will NOT dare to do so, correct?...At least You will agree upon this!

But it was totally a biased view from a renowned tv channel like NDTV. Some sick people are using media in a wrong way and NDTV should have acted responsibly in this dire situation.

I highly condemn such untimely and shameful act done by a reputed TV channel like NDTV. It was really unfair on the part of MARATHI manoos!...

Did you know that there is a system in our constitution, as per the

1969act, in section '49-O' that a person can go to the polling booth,
confirmhis identity, get his finger marked, and convey the presiding
electionofficer that he / she doesn't want to vote anyone!

Yes, such a feature is available, but obviously these seemingly
notoriousleaders have never disclosed it. This is called '49-O'.

Why should you go and say 'I VOTE NOBODY'? ... Because, in a ward, if
a candidate wins, say by 123 votes, and that particular ward has
received'49-O' votes more than 123, then that polling will be cancelled and
willhave to be re-polled. Not only that, but the candidate of
thecontestants will be removed and they cannot contest the re-polling,
Since people had already expressed their decision on them.

This would bring fear into parties and hence look for genuine candidatesfor
their parties for election. This would change the way, of our
wholepolitical system... it is seemingly surprising why the election
commissionhas not revealed such a feature to the public.... Please spread

* If Tendulkar cuts the cake which is made to look like national flag, he is condemned.
* If Mandira Bedi wears a saree with the flags of all the countries being portrayed on that, is made to apologies.
* If one cop in Kolkata and one in Bangalore is terminated of his duties for throwing the Indian national flag on ground, by mistake.

Then why double standards:

* During the ongoing Amarnath Sangarsh, Jammuites holding the Indian National Flag and chanting 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' are open fired by the J&K Police on orders from the Police Commissioner (belongs to Kashmir). Peaceful protesters are killed.
* Like in case of Amarnath case, people in Kashmir when want to get some demand fulfilled, protest by burning Indian national Flag, hosting Pakistani Flag and chanting 'Hindustan Murdabad, Pakistan Jindabad'. But no body condemns. Infect, all such protest are followed by a team of union ministers visiting Kashmir and immediately sanctioning a few thousand crore rupees for Kashmir is.
* Every year on 14th Aug (Pakistani Independence Day), Pakistani flag is hosted every where in Kashmir, including the govt. buildings and on 15th Aug, same people burn the Indian flag.


This only happens in India!!!!

Why Govt. can't take action on these people? Just for some political benefits Govt. is keeping the Indian Pride on stake.
